Mekomi is my independent art practice, built around bespoke commissions that bring a person’s places and memories into one continuous drawing. Alongside these individual stories, I create city collections and Pride editions in wood, print, and metal. The practice extends from private commissions and restaurant installations to retail: stockists listed by Mekomi include the Tel Aviv Museum of Art Store, Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv, and Asufa.

Personal commissions

A bespoke skyline brings meaningful places into one work. The commissions shown here include a birthday piece, a drawing for Christoph, and a cityscape of Caracas—each developed around its own subject and setting.

Place and hospitality

For restaurant commissions, the artwork becomes part of the setting. The work includes Tel Aviv cityscapes and architectural drawings painted directly across tiled walls.

Pride and belonging

The Pride collection gives the practice an explicitly LGBTQ perspective. The Castro Theatre print focuses on a single building, using its distinctive façade and rainbow-colored sign as the subject.

The metal collection

The drawing extends into laser-cut metal, with city collections for New York, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Israel. Pieces are made to order; bespoke metal compositions are also available. I design the work in Brooklyn, with metal production handled by a manufacturing partner in Turkey.
